This is the greatest game I've ever played
This needs to get frontpaged.

Work out the kinks

You have an excellent idea here, but it lacks the necessary polishing to make it great. The timing controls seemed a bit wonky and the graphics needed lots to be desired. I'd love to see this after you've spent more time tuning it up!

You have the basis of a game

Running away from an encroaching threat whilst trying to pick up points is a decent concept. Unfortunately, there is no realy game to speak of. Actual levels, rather than a single series of platforms with no real goal. There isn't even anything to total how many 'points' you got. Also, the fire which you are running away from is a simple picture.
The basis is there. It all works fine. Just there isn't much of it to actually work.

Kinda lame. Haphazard.

The game is workable. Sorta. I mean, from what I can gather, you can't collect all of the... item thingies. So you don't really win. There's only one level. For some reason I played a whole bunch of times. Maybe I'm really bored. Or maybe there's some untapped potential.

But clearly, you aren't putting in boat loads of effort into any part of this game. It's unoriginal, the graphics are lack-luster, and all in all... it's somewhat frustrating. Make a full game, then submit it. I'm sure you're capable of more than this.

It's your first game. The graphics are not that good, but at least if playable.
