Hunt for the Red Baron

This game had been planned for a really long time before anything actually happened with it. It was originally going to be programmed by a friend of mine with all art and animation done by me, but due to some complications with my friends home life he was unable to and I took charge and did the programming.

It's pretty self explanitory, the plane follows the mouse, left click to shoot.

There is one 'glitch' sometimes when you shoot and enemy plane down the explosion sound will play but it doesnt explode. Click it again and it'll explode with sound. I dont know why it sometimes does this or how to fix it.

I think this is a fairly new(ish) concept with flash fighter plane games, the few I've seen are either top or side views, so I thought a 3rd person sort of view may make it somewhat refreshing.

Only after completing this game did I learn there is already a game of the same name.

You'll either find this game too hard or too easy. I don't know.

I hope you enjoy my game.

Can anyone tell me where to get this game

Good start

It seems like you have the beginnings of a good game. However, the gameplay itself is clunky. And it is a bit boring visually.

It sucks that you're always facing forward, and your enemies are always facing right at you. give the planes different angles. A trick you can use is to get a 3D modeling program like Blender, find, make, or get someone to make a model of a plane, make a simple turn-around animation or 2, and spit out the frames as .jpg images. You'll have all the angles of the plane you need.

It's hard to tell that you're getting hit without glancing at the bar. Why don't you add smoke to the engine and/or make the screen flash red when you get hit?

I would've liked to have this done in 3D, but 3D is damn hard, especially when you have no clue about it. Thanks for the tips.

Preloader = shit

There is a clock in the middle of the screen, is this the game already? If so, controls are a bit confusing, fix that please. I had more fun as i dumped hot coffee all over me during the loading time.

StillBeatingPictures responds:

The clock is the preloader.
