Hi all,

Check out my new fun music making game Blergo Beats. Is it a game? Its fun I think.

You can connect with a friend and compose together in real time. It uses stratus for the peer to peer connection and the new FP10 "sampleData" event to create the sound dynamically.

Im very pleased with it and have been coding this manically since I had the idea. Let me know what you think.

Good step forward

A good step sequencer. I've enjoyed messing with these for a long time now and it also helps with me being a musician. I actually use these for practice loops sometimes because they're easy to make and they have pretty consistent time.

I do love some of the features you've added. I especially like the long phrase length. It allows for multiple bar phrasings that some online flash step sequencers don't have. I also like the single window interface for multiple instruments. It's easy to compose for three instruments when you can see them all.

I'm going to suggest something that might be tough on the coding (I don't really have any real knowledge about coding so I'm going to just guess) but certainly possible.

Have you ever checked out iNudge by the way? It's one of the more customizable step sequencers out there and is a load of fun to use to generate loops on the fly.

What I would suggest is a marriage of your interface and ideas with iNudge. It has some things that would greatly improve this - tempo, more percussion sounds, more instruments, a play/stop button.

If you could somehow blend all these ideas together, you'd create a monster step sequencer. I know a ton of musicians who still use step sequencers to create loops and would even go so far as to say that some people would be willing to pay a small amount of money for a really good customizable one.

Take a look at iNudge and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Good job.

I broke it

Heehee. I crashed my browser when I tried to use my name. Pretty cool though.

It's cool once you understand whats goin on.
