Dan Dare MatchIt

Tomorrow, April 14th 2010, is the 60th Anniversary of "Dan Dare - Pilot of the Future", the classic British comicbook sci-fi series that first appeared in the Eagle comic way back in 1950.

To celebrate this milestone, here is a Dan Dare themed version of our famous "picture matching memory game" featuring loads of classic Dan Dare images and a rare sample of the theme music from the 1990 BBC Radio 4 "Dan Dare - Pilot of the Future" serial.

The aim of the game is simple but challenging - match the 40 pairs of picture cards in the quickest time, and the least number of moves, as you can. Clearing the picture cards will reveal one of 10 different larger images of "Dan Dare through the years".

(As a special bonus, you can see all 10 of these images by going into the "About" menu option and clicking on the blue text link at the bottom of the "About" screen - click on each image to go on to the next one.)

If you don't know who or what Dan Dare is, visit www.dandare.org.uk to find out all about it - if you like comic-strips, you'll love Dan Dare!

Cool!

Simple,..but a nice 5 min time waster

Pretty challenging actually. Probably due to the fact that I have a crappy memory. Good stuff,..like the website too.

peterinns responds:

Thanks. I too find it a challenging game to play due to a failing memory, lol!

start

the start button is anoying to press cause you have to click exactly on the text

peterinns responds:

So think of it as a bonus free mouse-training mini-game then, lol! :-) Sorry. Actually, if you point your mouse at Start, you can then easily click on the icon that appears to the left of the word Start.
