Pleasant little puzzler

I enjoyed the premise of this game very much. The concept of it was fairly simple but well thought out. The presentation was nice and the animation effects were really neat and clean.

The difficulty is a little on the low end however. The levels are actually quite predictable. The ones that gave a little more challenge were the ones that involved the turning blocks because they were the only ones that allowed a certain amount of 'control' over the blocks' movements.

I say this because the one thing that makes this a little too easy is the predictability. Because the blocks move at the same speed in every direction, you could pretty much tell which blocks could smash which ones together by simply looking at it. And also because each block needed to collide with another, you could pair up the blocks pretty quickly and the levels didn't get any more complex.

You did fine adding the different type of blocks to the gameplay and it certainly did make things a little more interesting, but the simplicity of the gameplay remains. Unfortunately, in this instance, less is not more.

Here are some suggestions you can play around with to make this a wee bit more challenging.

Try making blocks move at different speeds. That way you can have block paths overlapping one another. That way, the pattern of collision is not so predictable. Also you could experiment with blocks of different strengths. Like a block that needs to be hit by 2 others to explode. You could colour code boxes like a blue box and then a purple one which would mean either collide it with another purple one or 2 blue ones. That way, choices have to be made in the game which would make the puzzle solving more complex and slightly more challenge.

Last suggestion I have is maybe a different method of turning the blocks. I find the clicking multiple times quite tedious, especially if I make a mistake and turn it too far. I would suggest maybe a click and drag function so you click a block and drag it in direction you want it to point to.

I enjoyed playing this. It looked very polished and it kept me through all 30 levels. It's just a tad too easy and too straight forward. Let's see you throw in some complexity in there.

And there goes the rest of my evening...

I love games like this that take a simple concept and turn it into something incredibly challenging and fun that I could spend hours playing and most likely will.
