Valentine Blocks

Author Comments

Just in time for Valentine's day! A popular variant on the match 3 theme. Use your cursor to swap blocks, you can set up chains by matching 3 or more blocks causing those blocks to explode, the blocks above fall, possibly causing a chain reaction, how long can you keep the chains going?

Players must match the same colored blocks to clear the blocks and score points. Clearing blocks causes the blocks above to fall, if those blocks cause additional clears then chains are formed and the player receives bonus points.

Once a player is experienced the game becomes a race to create bigger chains to top the high score.

Use your ARROW keys to move the cursor, the SPACE bar will swap the highlighted blocks. You can force the stack to raise up giving you more blocks to match on more quickly, using the SHIFT key. To activate the upgrades use the ENTER key. (The upgrades need to be unlocked.)

Yay~

Awesome game.
I submitted my score and I was ranked 7 in all time... I feel accomplished. :]

Great game, have to say this was good fun, the colour was bright and the presentation was quite frankly brilliant which really helped to build up the game, controls seemed stiff but are easy to get a hand on, making the game accessible and easy, great job, keep it up

azuana responds:

I realize the mouse control is a little awkward, I'll work on it a bit more and see.

This would be nice...

...if only it weren't a rip off of the Japanese game Panel de Pon. The American equivalent would be Tetris Attack.

More revenue seekers. It never ends.

azuana responds:

Tetris Attacks is my all time favorite game. I wouldn't call what I created a rip off.

boring

art was great. programming was fantastic. but the game play was too slow... also notes came in sometimes that were already matched up.. in my oppinion that shouldnt happen.

azuana responds:

Not sure what happened with the notes, I'll double check them.

In regards to the game speed. It's a tough choice. I didn't want to make it too difficult early on. But for experienced players, I know what you mean. It does get a TON more difficult in the later levels, past level 50.
