Well, My name is Heroic. Heroic Fiend. I have been using Flash to create things for a while now, although I'm just starting actionscript. This is the beginning of a long line of flash creations by me. I will be creating games, websites, and anything else I can think of. I basically plan on creating anything that comes to mind.
So, what do you all think of a first creation?

Given this your first work in flash animation, and that you dove right into actionscript, and made this, it isn't too shabby. Like you said, a first step. The beginning. It needs a clear button, maybe more functions (powers, sine, cosine, tangent, etc.), and maybe a visual makeover.

If you are just looking for feedback for your starting javascript, yes, it works fine.
calculator,why?
why would i go to newgrounds to use a bad 4 function calculator when i can use the one that is on my computer and it is a scientific calculator, i mean ever computer comes with a calculator on it, why would i want to use this one.
I posted this calculator because, like I said in my introduction, it's my start to programming. I'm just going to be posting each thing I create, sort of as a track to see what I've made so far.

Honestly it works but's useless on site like newgrounds maybe spend some more time on proper games.
Looks good so far, but...
It desperately needs a `CLEAR' function key. Also, the graphics could be a little brighter and more colorful. It doesn't need to look so serious and business-like; that's a bit boring. I know you can improve on that.
If you added 'clic' sounds, that'd be even better, but it is not absolutely necessary.
