Nice try
It is nice that you try to conjugate story and gameplay but the game is really easy and difficulty doesn't augment through levels, so powerups and ability result really useless.
A remake of The Endless Drop, built from the ground up with new and improved art, code, story, and gameplay. This is everything the original should've been.
I got the idea for this game while I was playing Falldown in class one day. My mind started wandering. I thought, "What is at the top of the screen that this little ball is so scared of? What is at the bottom that is so enticing, and why is it always just out of reach?"

Nice rewrite
Ye its got a good story and the gameplay isnt bad but there were one or two errors, the one i found frustrating was that the ball fell faster than the screen dropped so then it's hard to move the ball through the gaps. Secondly was the timer, apparantly i finished every map excactly on 30 seconds yet i timed myself and i completed some lvls within 25 seconds and others were more like 44 seconds. Other than that a gr8 idea and a gr8 game, music was a little depressing but it was still brill, well done.
the game
was ok, i like the idea of diferent barriers, though they didnt exactly add much to the difficulty. also the cmpletion time was exactly 30 seconds for me every time, even when i counted differently myself =/
