Tom's post on the front page helped to inspire this short toon. I've been planning to make a flash about deaf culture in the past but I had writer's block on how to go about making it. A couple of days ago I was able to come up with Deaf Jam series starring DJ. I know this is short but I plan on making longer scripts and more characters in the future. It's a small file size so I think it's worth giving it a look and the preloader is sort of educational. (click on the signs if you don't know ASL)The signs for "hello" and "no" are real too. Enjoy.

the truth is...
ive been studying deaf culture for 3 years all it has done was just show how prejudiced deaf people are towards hearing ppl. sadly, all the deaf ppl ive met (including my deaf instructor) has been biased to most of the students who have deaf family members, or who are deaf themselves, than those who dont have any history of being deaf.
great video, but i think the entire 'deaf culture' really needs to think on both sides and try to find a REAL blending.

Wow. I didn't realize that the deaf people of the world faced so much shit about their being deaf that you had to make a Flash cartoon about it, promoting us not to ask deaf people for their money with a dart gun. Or maybe I just don't get it.
