Not great, but I enjoyed it
This isn't too bad of a game, regardless of some of the other reviews, in my opinion. However, I do have a few complaints as well.
Enemy fire does not seem to cause damage to you. I feel this is pretty strange, as there's no real reason to dodge the enemy fire. Or, in my case, dodge the enemies at all.
The ships have a black background around them. This is a small thing, but it can be noticed, particularly when two ships fly past each other. I don't know much about animation, but I feel it would be improved if you made the backgrounds transparent.
The fire from your ship seems to come from the black box. Again, I don't know much about animation, but the fire from your weapon doesn't seem to come from the ship itself. It comes from slightly above the ship.
The background sometimes 'runs out'. After beating the first boss, the background seemed to disappear. It simply turned to white, and it felt unusual. I assume this is a glitch, so this is probably not something you caused.
This is a good enough game, and it's certainly playable. It's just that some of the flaws on it are quite annoying. I know you'll likely be able to make it work though.
yay perm-invulnerability. . . . yawn
No instructions, immune to anything except colliding with bosses. No risk == boredom.
Otherwise, an ok "coffee break" time-waster.
1 MASSSIVE problem...
You don't take any damage from smashing into minions...(boss will take you out though...)
Also, a glitch shows up after reaching the boss...the background (which is supposed to be panning), STOPS and is replaced by White...the game than tries to fix that problem, making for some weird gameplay...
Untouchable?
The other spaceships couldn't hit me? My health stayed at 100%. Also, at about 10.000 points te space background stopped appearing :S
Nevertheless, nice one :)
