As others have said, the ending may have had the intention of being open-ended and up for interpretation; but it does not work here. This instead feels like the entire thing was cut at the height of the story. I do love open-ended endings when they're done right, it's something I loved about series like Twilight Zone when it did it. But this? It feels like if something like Hamlet ended before the final siege, or Breaking Bad just ended during that one particular scene.
