Some constructive critasizm here. I think it is a fine consept, yes pong games are done ALOT, however, there is a reason people still play them. Weather it is to feel nostalgic or to kill time, or whatever. Fine idea, but it does have its problems. Along wth those already mentioned I noticed that the paddles seemed to move often too slow to catch the ball. I didn't run into any problems when both paddles were in the corner. It did seem that sometimes the ball failed to follow the logical path one who has played pong before might expect when interacting witht he paddles (tighter angle the closer you are to either edge). THough reading over your responses to reviews I wonder if you didn't intend for the gameplay to be more than a stones throw from the expected. I do agree with eskens that as a brickbreaker style game it does perhaps have more potential. I also feel it would be better to start with a menu with instructions. And a place to set a goal score for a win (as there is not an aparent one within the game). I also agree that it would be nice to have a single player option, but depending on the ultimate platform if you use this as a framework for something else, that may not be needed. Also as I generally review with regards to music. If you add it add an off button. Music and sound don't have to be all or nothing situations, some people may like whatever is chosen, and others may prefer to go play their own music.
If this was posted as a framework I probably would have scored it better, but it already sounds like you have passed this project on as finished and would more likely apply suggestions to it's sequal. On that note I am giving you 3 stars because though a framework is here what I saw had very little playability. Cheers and hope I have more positive things to say about your next.
