Constructive criticism is always welcome. Programming/art done by me. Theme music by NickPerrin. Other sounds from freesound.org. My website is http://www.universityofev il.com. It is currently under construction, but it'll be full functional soon.

Thanks for playing my game. It is my first, and I hope to make more in the future.

Update Version 1.1 - Added a new crosshair, a pop-up warning that you are shooting the wrong zombie, and updated som in-game art and sounds. I hope you enjoy!

Opening and animation was solid the zombies were well done as well it would be cool if in the future you had some voice acting for other zombie related installments

Good concept

Great opening theme, as Haggard said. The graphics were also excellent, although some thing (such as the elevator at the beginning of the game) could have looked a little sharper. For the Michael Jackson zombie, I thought he was going to look like he did after all the plastic surgery, so that was a bit confusing.

Nice game

It's a nice game with decent graphics and a very good start screen theme. The theme fits perfectly to the graphics, almost feels as if I was playing an old NES video game.

It's a bit annoying that the screen around the scope is all black, because in reality I wouldn't sit on the roof and trying to find the zombie while looking through the scope, I would watch with both eyes to cover the whole area (maybe I would use binoculars if I'm far away but even then I would look through both eyes).
But I think the game would be too easy in the early levels (especially on easy difficulty).
But maybe you could use that as the difference between easy and hard difficulty. On easy, I can see the whole area, on hard, I only see the bits through the scope.

Overall it's a nice game, but I think it needs some tweaking on the difficulty. It was very challenging even on "Easy".

Not bad

A little difficult if you're not familar with the way that certain figures look - I had no clue whatsoever about the SAW doll, but there you go. With the way it pans out, I'm a little confused as to why the game area is blacked out around the scope - surely you'd be able to use the rest of the field of vision to gather the target before sighting and slotting them.

I appreciate that the view of the zombies would be a lot smaller, but if you're looking for one distinct zombie, it shouldn't be too hard, even if you can magnify them with the scope around the place. Perhaps don't have the zombies wander off the screen, as that ramps up the difficulty, especially as the zombie you're trying to shoot wanders off screen, then you can't find them again.

Finally, I noticed that these zombies are from the sprightly and athletic breed, so I'd assume that they are more like the things we see on I Am Legend, as opposed to the more traditional Resident Evil / Dawn of the Dead zombies? Perhaps slow them down a tad, as it's not going to make too much difference to the gameplay.

Samanus responds:

I didn't want the game to be too easy, but I see what you mean. On later levels, it would be difficult to spot the zombie with or without the black. So, I'll definitely look at that during the revision. Thanks for your review! :D

wheres ZOMBIES!
