Well, this is my first game. I a simple game were you take control of a guy using a jet pack and you are challenge in 28 levels to pass through rings. Enjoy!!!
Needs some technical polish.
There are some menial details that you need to fix. The life counter only shows after you collect six hearts (and only until you die or beat a level). Sometimes the next ring is off the screen, and you have to look around for it.
Good game. Kinda like the old ballistics games (e.g. lunar lander)

The movements are not that simpel to master but after some failures its pretty easy. The level selection ist also usefull to train your skills and dicrease the possibility of frustration.
Sadly the level variation is not that well. In fact I enjoyed just to fly freely through the air and have fun with a jetpack. Isn't it the funniest aspect of jetpacks? You should add some more stuff in leveldesign and try some other type of game for for that controlls. You tried this time a accuracy game but its not suited for everyone. How about some jetpack racing game?(maybe even with guns^^)
The missing 2 stars come from the lack of creativity for a engine with this potential. : P
Good game
Like you said, it was your first flash game, so for you first flash game, it wasnt that bad, with better graphics, more of a challenge, better sounds, this WILL be a good game! :)
Great Potential
For your first flash game, this isn't too bad. With a little bit of polishing, I think this game could be really kickass.
First of all, the graphics on the guy is pretty good, but I felt the rest of it could have been better. The rings are okay, but the platforms look pretty awful. The background seemed kind of boring and disorienting if I accidentally flew out of view of the rings or a platform. Something simple like a few layers of clouds on the bottom edge of the screen would probably make it look better.
The sound was okay, but the ring sound from Sonic the Hedgehog seemed annoying as hell. The music was a little boring. However, the jetpack sounded really good!
I felt there was really no point in a scoring system. As long as you went through the ring, you got the points. Maybe make it so you have to fly through the rings in a specific order to get points from them. That would certainly add more of a challenge.
All in all, this a good start to a pretty sweet game. Hope my critique can help you improve upon it!
