it isn't saving the scores I think
Lost sheep (and anyone else who thought he - or she - set a record that would endure), I think you were just tricked.
I just got 35 on the timed mode - and I don't see you on here. It shows me as being 1st place, and 2nd place is shown as 32. I also just got 100 on the untimed mode. I think the other positions are all fake. None of the messages any of the other people on the list have left are remotely meaningful either. I put in the message "I'm the manliest man to ever be a man" and all the other messages in the timed version, for instance, are "lucas <22> DANI <24> raven <25> ghgh <32> I'm the manliest man to ever be a man. <35>" It seems unlikely that NO one would have left an interesting message but me. I think it's all fake - that it won't keep any record you set. Probably someone out there in the 3 and a half months this game has been up has managed to beat 35 as well. I mean, I only played it like 5 times and I only got under 30 twice, and I've got a really crappy laptop monitor, so how could that record POSSIBLY stand? On top of that, I would expect to see records in the untimed in the many hundreds or even 4 digit scores. After all, it would be easy to cheat for anyone who cared to do so. Capture the screen, paste it into paint, and then use the fill with color feature to make the region you click on a vastly different color than the other area. Though I don't think it was actually getting harder for a while. Once I got to about 50 or so, I don't think it got any harder. Every 5th or 6th one would be very hard to tell and I was sometimes wondering if the blotch I saw was my dirt on my screen or a bonifide edge.
I really don't like that. I think you shouldn't mislead like that. If you don't know how to make it accept and retain high scores, than you shouldn't fabricate something with the intent to deceive people into thinking that's what you're doing.
