PeakSkill

Thanks very much!

ok..

but it's all a bit bland to me.

Graphics are good in themselves but lack depth and inspiration to me - lots of gray planes, little detail. Or maybe it's just not my kind of thing.

Music is overshadowed by sound effects.

Gameplay? A mixture between reasonably original and very old.. in itself nothing wrong with a good sidescroller shooter, but you should really include continuous fire and add something extra to distinguish it from the millions gone before. Maybe upgrades or really inventive bosses.

What I notice in all the games is that here's not much in the game progression other than marginally augmented difficulty. I'm not interested in just hammering down pink gooey monsters and blocks for 20 minutes. Or even 5. Same goes for punching people, etc.

Strange but true: the entertainment value of these types of games increases immensely just by adding sparkly things, upgrades, trophies, multipliers, and bonuses for randomly significant achievements.

willcheng responds:

Hi and thanks for the review. We appreciate all the feedback. There are, in fact, cheats within the games which allow you to unlock varied features.

It's cool.

It's alright. Are you seriously sponsored by the Blu-Ray format? Envy sir, envy.

willcheng responds:

Thanks for the review and yes this is an official game compendium for the Blu-Ray Disc Association. We'd really appreciate reviews of all of the games folks!
