Made this in a few hours for a speed contest. everyone else had 5 days.. but I started late on the last day.

could have had more thought put in
this game could have had more thought and just looked like a reverse of the falldown game that can be found on graphing calculators but the shield was a new idea compared to other similar games that i have seen.
the meteors do look like Cocoa puffs lol.. i didn't get that far..... cause i thought it would just be the same thing.
Not sure you read the description.. speed challenge.. with just a few hours to make it, not easy to make a game in that time

Quite fun for being made in such a short time, however the meteors sort of look like Cocoa Puffs falling from the sky. You might want to use different sprites for larger/smaller meteors, and probably make them gray. XD Also, throwing in some music from the Audio Portal might've been nice. :)
those weren't sprites, I drew them.. from scratch. and how often is rock grey?
yeah music would have been nice.. and i'll add some when i get chance.. but I had to hit the deadline first

this game is just good. However there's a lot of room for improvement like adding music and sounds. Also you could add small explosion graphics for when you crash against a meteor. You could add other power-ups like slow down the meteor shower, a beam of laser to clear some of the meteors; there are just a few ideas if you're interested.
In overall this game is good as it is now but it could be a lot better.
Good for a time challenge, now improve...
My suggestions:
1) be SURE to hide the mouse. It's not hidden and it's very distracting
2) Since it's just side-to-side, better to use keys instead.
3) It would be nice if the shield meter was more obvious (graphic instead of numeric)
4) Now add levels, sound, etc.
i'd agree that keyboard would be better.. but mouse control was part of the contest rules

This game isn't bad at all since it was made in a few hours, but i don't think it will be a 'Daily Feature'.
