Almost as entertaining as real fireworks..!
This engine will be appearing in my 2009 Collab, not the full show, just the engine. I attempted to make a random fireworks generator a while back, but they always took the form of a square. I was proud of how easy it was to get it this time.

If it's your birthday today, enjoy! If not, enjoy anyways! Send a link to someone on their birthday!

not bad

Pretty nice actually. I have to say I liked it. It's nice that the fireworks has two different effects and not just one. But there could be even more effects and different variations if possible. I don't know how easy or hard that would be but thats one way to improve it.

You chose the right day to submit this. :D
my b-day!
thanks

Special-Ed responds:

Hmm...
I don't know, maybe you were just unlucky, or didn't notice, but technically there are 4 different types. regular(colours), the extra sparkly white, the branching ones(or second pops), and the ones that wait a second then dance around in random directions (orange + red). Maybe you didn't notice the dancing ones and didn't consider the extra sparkly white ones as different from the regular... oh well, ya I probably could have made more, but it was only an assignment for my Comm. Tech class, and this was already Miles above expectations...

\Thanks for the review, I might just go further with it. Really, thankyou.

//oop! and happy belated birthday! :)

The cake is a lie.

The particle engine is a nice idea but it made my PC lag. A lot. It's not a real good PC (2.2ghz dualcore/Geforce8600) but it should run any "e-card" at a decent frame rate, shouldn't it? Rework that please. Also, the fireworks looked way too static in my opinion.

The rest of it was pretty dull. Text was uninspired, the random font mess is no pleasure to watch and the background music is boring.

If you decide to rework this flash, make sure the text art has some concept to it. You should also consider using a higher quality background music and some more dynamic particles.

Special-Ed responds:

Trust me, your not a singularity. My PC has a pentium 4 processor with 256mb RAM and I'm surprised it could handle one firework! I spared no CPU with this one. And once completed, I started imediate work on a lag free version. I got it working but it's impossible to have more than one...oh well... You'll understand the text from my response to True0Legend's review...

So, the music is... boring..?

sniffle*

that made me feel special inside, but realy if someone gave me a card like that for my birthday i'd be like OMFG!

Special-Ed responds:

Heck, yes you would! :D
It's like a fireworks show just for you, only in the cheapest, or lets say safest form ever!

Nice, but...

It needs a seizure warning. Otherwise, it's pretty entertaining to watch, that would be a great e-card. Maybe you could make the fireworks move to your cursor or something like that.

Special-Ed responds:

Will do! I hope I'm not too late!
I did make a version where it went where you click your mouse, problem was, through testing, everyone did the exact same thing right away. Clicked like crazy till the computer seizes up. I would need to put two seizure warnings, but atleast they enjoyed making me restart the computer!

Slow

Gets kinda laggay when u put 3 or more fireworks at the same time

Special-Ed responds:

Sorry 'bout that! I can't even enjoy it at my own home on my 1990's computer... It even made my school computers lag a little... I spared no CPU...
