it is pretty old looking
i gave it a 5 because i think it is underrated and deserves more attension it may be mot that actiony but the story is good it just needs better narration
Julia Martin designed this flash animation as an entry for the 1998 RealFlash International Animation Festival and won the grand prize. It features an all original story by Joel Reynvaan and narration by Ken Trough. This was produced very shortly after it first became possible to add audio to flash animation. The audio quality was determined by the codec we needed to use for the contest and is not up to today's high standards, but was pretty decent for the limited 1998 tech. Old-Schoolish ;-)
Watching this flash feels a bit like Time-Travelling. You clearly used the rechnical possibilities of 1998 and I like how the movie is synchronized with the poem. The poem itself is also well-written. "Sit up straight, stand up tall and holler for your mom."
I would like to see what you are able to do right now, as flash has improved a lot.
A nice little flash
This flash was near perfect! only thing that was a bit off, was the sound quality, it was good, but a bit low so to say...
5/5 10/10
Eight stars
I can't say as it would be my favorite poem, but the animation's well done. I got a little laugh out of it towards the end. My advice to you to make your next flash better would be to work on the voice. It sounded a little fuzzy, and I had a hard time hearing everything clearly.
We don't have the original work files any more or we would have rebuilt it with better quality settings. Thanks for the constructive criticism though. 8^)
Mooom!
Lol that was cute :3
