We had to do a walk cycle + any other type of cycle of our choice for my class, animation principles.
I chose a run cycle with a wolf running. The idea of actually showing a wolf being sketched out was done for 2 reasons.
1. It made the animation stand out from the rest of the class, as it was something no one else thought of ..so far.
2. I..uh...can't color very well, I can barely draw. So it was easier for me to keep the wolf as a "sketch" than do a proper outline and color it.
I even had to draw the wolf out frame by frame on paper and then trace over it with a tablet. So shameful. :(
It took over 6 hours to do this animation. But it was well worth it...sort of.
Results for this assignment came in today. My prof wants to see the "original" files. She doesn't believe I did it probably. I hate when I am underestimated. Bah!
Not bad
Since this isn't a full blown animated short or game, I can't give you a high score. However, for what a run cycle, it is not bad at all. I like the fluid motion and detail incorporated here. I understand something like this alone can take time to make, so kudos on that. Hopefully I can see more of this in future shorts you make.

Run cycle well done. I do feel that there should be more overlap in the genral animation. the lower half of the body animates reall well. but if you added more movement from the shoulder all the way through the tail. than it would be bonza.
keep at it, this is an inspiration to me and all who love animation =]

Whilst you animation is really great, I'm not sure this should be on newgrounds. You should totally use your skills to tell a story.
By the way, doesn't matter that you traced it, you still drew it by hand right? Hope you get a good mark.

As an animation style it looks good, I like it, you could do like, no voice acting movies with that animation style with subtitles if you had too, pair with music, and add some emotional depth and it'd make for a good entertaining few minutes. I

Just one thing, it seems that in between the last and first frame of the run cycle, the animals back just...umm... drops back, instantly. Besides that, it's very good!
