Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of February we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 228 people to reach our goal of 3,100 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in March!

In my mind

I lay here with my eyes closed, my body with no motion, nothing but the sound of the darkness.
My dreams are what keep me occupied.

I am my dreams, nightmares from inside the mind, nothing can control them, except for myself..

I found this sound in the Audio Portal, I felt as if I should animate to it.
So I did.
Created in less than a week.

Now lets see if the NG API thing works..

Main music by Nal1200, menu and ending loop by Nine Inch Nails.

EDIT: Daily 9th, good enough. I wish I had an award though. D:

More random than dreamlike

The art and animation is decent and all, but nothing deep.
I seen a flash about dream, it was a coherent dream that tries to break apart from the coherence, things unexplained and odd. That was dreamlike.

Been there.

I've had these kind of dreams all the time when I was little.... *shudders*
nice work!

Good stuffs :P

They often get simplistic randomness confused with dreamlike surrealism.

This animation, my friend, was the latter.

You see, fellow Newgroundians, randomness is a lazy art style in which people pick stupid nouns and use them more often in their work than usual, making them appaear, as the name says, randomly. Their idea is to make "shock value" by making people become confused on why they meaninglessly picked those stupid nouns.

Surrealism, however, is the concept of twisting logic in order to create some sort of dreamlike feeling, which this animation did, and quite well, shall I say. Usually, surrealism is a bit... darker, and morbid, so this is a somewhat good break from that.

Nice work.

:D cool
