Basically... my first ever flash project. I'd done a few smaller ones that never amounted to much, but this was the first one I actually spent some time on.

This entire thing was inspired by the song itself - Monstrous Turtles! It's an OCRemix by ziron (http://www.ocremix.org/r emixer/zircon/), an absolutely amazing remixer. The Sub-Castle BGM was already just about my favorite Mario song ever, and this remix is quite possibly, the best one ever created.

The idea behind it is if Super Mario World was some kind of anime show, with all the non-human characters being personified (or gijinka, if you will). Most of it is pretty true to the actual game, though there are a few ideas flitting about in it that were original ideas of my own.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! If anything, maybe it will bring back some memories of old-school SNES games.
