Hate to do this, but...

If you're starting out in flash, PLEASE, PLEASE practice coming up with your own characters and drawings. I can tell from this flash that you're still wet behind the ears, just invest time in becoming better at drawing your own stuff. People aren't going to want to watch sprite movies on TV or in movie theaters. In the time it'll take you to master sprite animation, you could have come up with your own original material, you're creating the story yourself anyway, at least give it a try, don't take the easy way out. It's not worth it, I don't care how much people like Alvin Earthworm's stuff on here, you'll never see it anywhere else but the net.

Im sorry. It was me first time using that program but im really rusty. thanks for the tips, but for now i think i'll stick with sprites...

Great Potential

I thought that it was pretty good as a starting animation. If you keep working at it you should improve greatly. It was alittle stop motion and the story seemed to move to fast. Though I must say you have great potential as an animator.

Veeeery nice, keep it up!

This really is a good movie! I like the idea to put some good old video games (and thier backgrounds ;> ) in a mix with fresh newer animes. The animations and illustrations are very nice, although i miss a backgriund in the 1st scene. The story could be more exciting but it keeps the door open for more to come, which is good for continuing the series ;>. With the chiose of music you definitely did a good job, but sometimes i miss any kind of sound in the background when i only have to read to understand whats going on.

Finally i think this is a "good" movie for the first episode. If you keep that up you definitely will have a "good" series.
Why only "good" and not "perfect"?
There is some space left to improve yourself. Use it wisely and next time you will get 5/5 from my side.
Im waiting for episode 2...

Well once i get the hang of it, it will be perfect! =)
(i hope)

Good but still a little tweeking...

For your first time i think its pretty good flash. :) Below is a little advice from an animators stand point since you said you'd like some helpful crits.

Overall I think the motion mechanics or the actual movement of the characters is pretty well done. Theres a little too much dead space on the top portion of the background though in the beginning segment. (All the white space in the top) I know granted sonic games are set that way, but they tend to be cropped in a little closer than that to make the composition a little more balanced. And The way you have the type coming up in the different colored circles is a good idea as far as color coding each characters voice to match them, I think though if you want it to blend with the whole video game RPG type feeling, (if thats your intention) have the traditional box at the bottom or top of the screen pop up and have the box change color when different people begin to talk. Like how the boxes of text pop up in Mario games or Zelda. (Just some of the more popular RPG's I could think of with text and such). I say this only because in your second shot with the wooden floors etc it begins to get hard to read with the black text. That or you could change the color of the text but that could pose a problem with the colored circles. Hope that helps :) Overall Im impressed if its your first flash animation, Im pretty new to flash myself (Haven't posted anything) But Im an animation major so I just commented on general animation type things, since Im not too experienced with flash. :)

eternalclash responds:

Thanx I'll take the advice and put it in the next episode!

Got potential

But needs more keyframes, looks a bit choppy as for now.
Look forward to ep 2 :)

eternalclash responds:
