Sugar is L's cocaine
I would definitely think of that being L's response to a lack of sugar. I like how well the audio clip form Invader Zim fit along with the characters from Death Note. It has good animation to go along with it! The audio sounds somewhat.. lower quality in certain areas. Is this because of the microphone? Or was the audio source of lower quality to begin with? Or maybe the somewhat quiet, yet very destructive, kitchen destruction part was like that intentionally?

Well actually this is one of those "vids" where you need to know the show that it is Parodying to really understand all the things you think make no sense :D and also glad you tought it was still enjoyable.
