**There is currently no background music, I have it ready but it was loading out of a folder so i will now have to import the music into the timeline**
Controls are explained in-game.
The current build of Azure is pretty much a demo. It features 1 full level with a working boss.
The game was made for a university project, I wanted to take the generic side-scrolling shooter mechanic and add something new to it. The Sabre of Azure has to one of the only flash games to make such heavy use of the Swift 3D application, by electric rain.
I am heavily snowed down with university work so I won't be able to make it into a full game just yet, but! the demo provides an excellent taster of what you will ultimatly get from finished game.
the games engine is complete so it won't take to long for me to get levels made later on.
Development plans:
1. Remake GUI (or hud) so that it is clearer to see when a skill is available.
2. Add some new skills. I am thinking of adding a projective based skill next:
3. Add 2 more large levels, with bosses.
4. change and update graphics and animations.

It's ok
It's good to try something new, but it just seems kind of lacking... basically instead of shooting it's more about timing the attacks? Unfortunately, sometimes when I get hit it seemed a bit arbitrary, and I just don't really understand how come spinning while ramming an enemy makes me invincible, but when I ram them normally they're invincible. Maybe instead of making it 100% about timing, the different attacks you get could create glowing blades in different areas, and the enemies could also have blades that go in some direction? It'd have the same core gameplay and ought not to take much engine changes, but instead of just "press attack when I'm gonna hit something", you'd have to choose the best attack direction for different enemies and different enemy groups.
Hmmmmm
I tihnk it was ok but the concept of saveing the world by crashing into stuff instead of shooting it seems like a pritty boring concept, also didnt realy see much point in using any button but space
looks good for a demo =)
i think you have the base for a great game here the idea is fun and the art is great
one tip i could give you is to increase the pace of the game
i think it would be a lot more fun if it was faster and more frantic
good game though i hope you will improve upon and resubmit it in the future
Thanks, happy you enjoyed it!
i'll look into increasing the speed when i add new enemies. hope you come back to play again!
Good Work.
This is a well designed game, just make sure that in the full version there are more diverse enemies and mabye a few more moves.
thanks! yeah i have ideas for 5 additional moves and there will be around 6-7 different enemy types in the final game.
Glad you enjoyed it!
