This is essentially my first completed Flash game and it is extremely simple. You control the advancing soccer ball (football) via the mouse, attempting to avoid the cleats of oncoming defenders. Successfully navigate across the field to score a goal; otherwise, the defenders are one to the good!
Added on 11/29/07: Thanks to everyone for your feedback, and I agree with all of it. You'll notice that I didn't say anywhere in my description that the game is good! I know that it isn't. It's simply a first effort and part of a learning process.
Why did I post it then? Well, to get feedback from the community, which is what I have been getting. So... thank you for that! I'm taking it all in and I do intend to improve the game as I learn more. Thanks again for playing and commenting.
Oh... and the game does have a preloader, so that comment puzzled me. Is it not working correctly?

I have uploaded version 1.1 which includes the following minor changes:
- Altered appearance of text on instructions screen
- Ball is now rolling (animated vs. static)
- Ball now moves downfield at a faster rate

Keep at it
This game is....much to simple. To the point of boredom. it's a good one to get your feet wet with..but this isn't anything that I think people will really enjoy. It's a good first try so keep up the good work. Also Phantasmic-S is a fucking idiot...kill yourself for everyones sake..choose whatever method best suits you but don't back out you pussy..oh..anyways..keep working on flash games study more action script and try to research which kind of games are most successful.

Spectacular Futeball Action!
Wow, a static ball vs. severed Adidas footware. I appreciate the slow pace of the game as I am a autistic, geriatric soccer fan. If Bowman were here, he'd pop your ball and ask you kindly to resubmit a soccer game that doesn't want me to bludgeon something. This is the part where I add constructive criticism; faster, a rolling ball, less techno, and have the shoes have bloody shin stumps coming out of them. Keep grinding.

mine loaded in under 20 sec so i dont think a preloader is necessary, but some variety to gameplay would be cool such as a reverse direction (down is up, up is down) icon, a speed variant icon, and moving defenders. I hope to see a version 2.0.

First off, needs a preloader. I have fairly good high speed internet, and this still took a while. Second, it wasn't fun, and the ball didn't move smoothly at all. You could add actual animation instead of just moving graphics. I didn't bother waiting for all the shoes to pass by, so I don't know if there was more than a first level. Took too long to grab my attention. Blammed for being bad, one star for being new and trying.
