Frustratingly Good

Great, great submission. The style and difficulty really made me think of the good days of 2-D platformers, where you didn't question why the inside of the volcano was frozen or why dragons and flying eyeballs were equal in strength. I played, I died, I yelled in frustration, and then I played more and more until I saw the strangely satisfying GAME OVER screen. I'll definitely be giving this another go tomorrow when I have more time, but first I wanted to mention two minor issues I noticed.

1) On the rare occasion I actually wanted to move DOWN through a level (for example, to get the first extra life), I found it exceeding difficult due mainly to the camera. Getting the life should be difficult on its own, but it shouldn't be made more difficult by making the jump blind. My suggestion would be to allow the player to shift the camera down by ducking.
2) I tried to jump from one platform to another with an eyeball overhead and ended up dying when I felt I shouldn't have. Maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention, but I felt it was worth noting anyway.
