This is my first EVER flash game. I am in "Intro to Game Design and Simulation" at my college, and our project is to create a game that you think is something that would attract people. I spent several weeks in class working on this, and although it's still not 100% complete, I have the game play down. The only thing that doesn't work is the high scores.

Part of the criteria for the project is to create a version of the game, and then make an addition onto it. This is my first creation of the game and after I get the high score element down, I will have that uploaded for people to try and compete.

*ABOUT THE GRAPHICS*
I have seen that the biggest complaint about this game, thus far, has been the graphics itself so let me explain.

My experience with flash is quite limited.. this is actually the second actionscript3 project I have EVER done in flash, most of the other flash things have been simple movies and animations for random things.

I had 2 weeks to do this project, and I have basic programming knowledge, so since the game is literally over 540 lines of code to control the aspects of it, I had to spend 90% of my time actually coding it and getting it perfected, I really didn't have time to make the graphics better. If I manage to get free time that inst related to college, I might actually make the graphics better.

The requirement of the project was to create a fully functional game that you think could be used to attract players. The project is for concept designing, not something you would consider being a final product if you were going to market the item. So the graphics and 100% exact gameplay is not what the grade is based off of, but was aimed at the concept of using game design theory in basic game development applications.

This is an intro class. I actually took the hardest program that they allowed us to use for the game, everyone else used "GameMaker" which is a "point and click" game development to let you learn the theory of creating a game. I have not actually been to ANY development classes yet for my degree.

Just an explanation to cover it :)

pity

you realy need to improve your sprites and music needs to be added and your gunshot sounds like a pistol not a sniper rife your lucky this is your first flash or else the flash would not pass judgement also you should make your buttons look llike buttons

Could be better.

I'll give you a 7 since this is your first flash game. A few problems though. A few of the target would appear and then vanish very quickly around .25 seconds. Hardly long enough to even get to the target. I have an IR mouse which atleast allows for speed and accuracy, however if the targets vanish so quickly, it's quite difficult to get it. I got about 21,385, give or take before I chose to end it. Still, other then that complaint, this is one of the best first entries I have seen in quite some time.

Needs some work

First off a bar that showed reload time might be cool. You could improve the graphics. At one point I shot a guy and he stayed on the screen for a long time and no new guys appeared. You might want to increase the pace of the game and have the time to shot be alot shorter. I looks like it has potential

Not so good nor bad

It is OOOOk. If I were your teacher i would put you 13/20. Cause it has bad graphics. Bad preloader. Even i've voted a 2 to stay here in newgrounds you should improve it.

Not Bad

The main problem is that it is too hard to get out of the negative points. Maybe you could fix the amount of points you lose and get from shooting the target.
