This is an update of a previous Tetris game I made, but I have changed it enough to resubmit it, so here it is! It plays just like Tetris, but with the addition of special blocks that trigger certain actions. It also has a few challenges and patterns you can try to complete.
Choose your level, number of players, then mode to get started.
Controls:
Left, Right - Move current tetromino
Up - Rotate
Down - Hard drop / Lock (press once to bring tetromino to bottom, then again to lock it)
Spacebar - Hold current tetromino
If you have any suggestions, please let me know (especially ideas for new item blocks)!
NOTE: This game was made in Adobe Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3. It REQUIRES the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (9.0.45.0), anything earlier and the game may not work, so please check your Flash Player version before you say "it doesn't work."
Fun game
So this here was a fun game indeed with some nice ideas around it while it is just a classic game you do bring out all the fun in it so nice job indeed, wish more people would make more of these types of games so really nice job on this classic of tetris.

I had to switch browser and use an old version of Flash to play this, as it doesn't support version 11 (it appears). I'm surprised nobody else seems to have had any trouble with it, but then again all reviews are a few years old, I guess it requires an update!
As for the game itself, it's simple fun. The idea of using regular objects instead of the tradition blocks is nice variation, and they all fit together too, it's not just a puzzle-it-up experience but more of a see-whats-next. :) Good graphics, and good controls, it's a good game! Keep it going.

in a tetris game any way its tetris with new modes and has specials it makes it more addiciting i love tetris this game makes it to the top of my tetris list

It is the best flash version of tetris on newgrounds, but I did wonder why level 9 was so much faster than the other levels. maybe you could slow it down a bit and make level 10 as fast as level 9.
