My first entry for the Survivor DA contest, hosted by blacklillian. And boy howdy was it hard to animate! But I think the results payed off. This was really a big boost as far as my animations go. The boy character (Grim) now as 19 layers (+2 for effects and object). Taurus (the big bald guy) was VERY different from the things I'm use to drawing. I tried to remain as true as I could to darkstampede's style. Which was hard because I usually animate simplistic characters like the Deformables. I also decided to remove the dialog from the animation as to not butcher Taurus's voice.

The flash file looks better and has the correct aspect ratio but the video file runs at the exact frame rate on nearly any computer.
To increase the speed of the flash version on slower computers, right click, and adjust the qualty level.

Well, it was pretty okay made.. But why didn't you draw your own backgrounds, instead of just trace bitmaps?
Anyway, if we go down to the details, the story was VERY loose. Why was Grim there, and who the hell was that big dino?
I hope there'll come some answers to those questions in some of the future episodes. ;)

Oh, the poor little boy didn't get his front page, let's everybody go to the forum and cry about it. Oh, c'mon.
After watching the top five of today I know this is a bad day for you, (the composer, cartoon hand), but after watching your job, well, sure you made a big effort there but IMO, the characters flying are not the best.
And let me tell you one thing, a guy that fires like -how many where, one two?- one thousand bullets and doesn't hits anything doesn't deserve to win/survive. The guy that kills a dinosaur with just a sword: that one deserves Glory.
The ending just completely dissapointed me.
