I've created a tutorial with plenty of visual aids and descriptions to help you remaster and polish those dreaded sprite images! Some time ago I was searching for a tutorial how to do this exactly and I was unable to find any! So I decided to make this thing, a tutorial that's motive is to not raise batting average (for once!). Please leave a review on any flaws or things you think I should add to the tutorial. I hope it helps, and remember, have FUN redesigning sprites, it's not a chore!

well I have to give you a nine cos' I know someone out there wil,l find this very useful... however... someone who likes to use sprites for a VG parody will have trouble if he uses this kind of technique... They dont look anyy... like the VG ones
Well, I understand that there's a time to use sprites stock and not, for instance if you are doing a mario parody all together you'd use sprites, but if you have a full vector animation but then wanna add a sprite in there it just looks like crap usually. Thanks for the review!

Yeah I don't think there should be a tutorial for tracing something....you make a new layer and you trace it...who doesn't know how to do that???? OTHER than utter NOOBS...Anyways if you wanted the actuall sprite you could just click MODIFY > BITMAP TRACE...and then delet everything sept the sprite...

....Honestly? Do I have to spell it out for you? I'm trying to teach how to remaster sprites, not use them stock!! Sure you could just use a huge spritesheet but what if it doesn't have what you want on it? That's when you remake it and manipulate it to your needs!
