monster basement walkthrough: https://youtu.be/JDI8kwqMujg
Wow. Really glad Newgrounds recommended this just now. Classic.
If bad guys stopped leaving keys and codes in the rooms they lock you in, escape games would no longer exist. That said, I really do love this game. The music and atmosphere was good, but I'm terrible at games like this so I frequently scanned the walkthrough. I don't understand what it's trying to say, however. ****SPOILERS!*** Like with the Bible verse at the beginning, or the fact you need to "call salvation". Or that you are a monster, saved from a monster, BY a monster. I get enough from the gameplay just fine, I just really don't see the point of the religious stuff in there. I am not religious, but this game seems sort of conflicted in what it's trying to convey, if it's conveying anything at all. To each his own, though, so my difference in opinion won't affect my rating.
Well, I remember when I first played this game..it was scary as hell. But nonetheless, the main goal and story line here was interesting, and I started getting into theses sort of Room escape games.
