Aslan in Rotoscope

I did this to practice rotoscope and learn flash a bit more. My last submission was blammed because it lacked animation but this is full fledged rotoscope and I hope you enjoy it. Katie is someone I know in kansas that owns a horse named Aslan (yes like from Narnia) and when my family went to visit her we recorded my brother playing fetch with him. We used a digital camera so the actual fotage is kinda low quality and it is shaky cause my brother Ben was th cinematographer. I realised how to use the val tool mid project if anyone wonders about the change in shape of the ball toy thing at the beginning. Please enjoy!

rotoscoping fun yea rirte

hell nah i bet that took u hella timws and frames just to d o that one scene

Tamasan responds:

Well I think it took 4-5 hours but I only drew like 6 seconds of fotage. Thanks for the support!

wow

it was some damn awesome tracing that must have taken you forever, but i think you should add sound and make the play button work then resubmit, and you have yourself a quality flash.

Tamasan responds:

It works now if you were concerned about the play button. I did the tracing in 4 hours. I am glad you enjoyed yourself watching this. Sorry to dissapoint you but I didn't add sound when I edited. I will have more presentable work quite soon though.

You need more everything

It's great that you are working with a classic techinque like rotoscope. But, I recommend not sending an experiment to newgrounds. Wait until you know you have a good story behind it or a more visually stunning piece. Most critiques on newgrounds want more than what you gave. Work on this and send it back. On the whole, it's better to have sound then not.

Tamasan responds:

Sorry to dissapoint but I still haven't added sound. I did, however fix the preloader and a few other things. I am very happy to see someone who recognises the technique I used. I am also glad you enjoyed the art. I will remember what you said as I construct other flashes. Thanks!

Don't Submit Noob Flash

This is the kind of thing you keep to yourself, not submit to Newgrounds. Unless...you had a collection of your first work and then your progression or something.

Tamasan responds:

Um dude I fixed the buttons. I did the tracing in 4 hours and most of the submitions here suck alot more than this. Thanks alot for commenting and I appreciate that you enjoyed the graphics. Well have a nice day and keep on flashing!
