funny but confusing

i know that at the end of the movie you kept pointing out the fact that the blue man was a vampire but at the end of it it seems as the vampire caused the newspaper guy to talk just so he could french kiss him? or did he bite his neck? it ended so quickly i couldnt tell but nonetheless i liked it and laughed.
