[SS] RIP Turnip

Well Turnip is gone so I had to make this to show the feelings that can't be held in any longer.

This flash took roughly 17 hours to make, please vote fairly for our friend who meant so much to us. :(

Well if you lost someone then would you be able to sit there and make a good flash when you're upset?

Would you be able to put so much time into it when you are going through so much already!?

I rest my case, this was a flash to remeber someone, not a flash to "wow" everyone else who had no clue about who he was.

If I cared enough about someone to make a flash yes... I'd be able to sit down and create an awesome flash... if I knew how to make one -_-; I mean I'd make sure a least it wasn't totally crappy and I would put some long hard work into it... months!!!! I mean he deserves it right?

sure you might be going through an emotional stage but there are options...

1#wait til you arn't as emotional to write the flash
2#Take the needed month/years/etc. to make it properly
3#Make a web site and post your 1 pic slide show there...

and really making it good isn't to "wow" everone else... but to make something that person would be proud of... make it the one last little piece of him that says just what he'd want to say to the world when he's dead... For instance my last reacuring words I'd like to make stand out would be... something about striving to be your best no matter the odds... yeah... I'm mostly all about that crap...

But lets just face it submitting sub par flashes and justifying it with
I'm too sad or something to that extent just isn't good enough... you're not trying to convince us the viewers with that you're trying to convince yourself of that.... you're better then this... remember that...

Lotus responds:

I won't even bother to say anything anymore that will verify as a response.. but my name is DarkLotusJuggalo so show me some "PWNAGE" now please... I'm waiting... exactly.

What was this garbage?

17 hours straight, just for a single frame with some rap over it? You call this a tribute or a R.I.P?

I don't know who turnip is, and I hate to hear when people die, except for clock, or lock or any other group similar in style. I feel like newgrounds may be one step closer to being a decent community when that happens..

HOWEVER.. this.. this is embarrasing.. this is garbage.

Lotus responds:

It was a RIP message for a lost friend.

Turnip was a great person, he saved people all the time from dispair and helped the world as well as the community.

Also, don't call this garbage until you have something of your own for everyone to see.

Never in my life have I seen a flash this good

This was amazing I have no idea how you did this in such a long period of time. 17 Hours of work for this would be sad. You should have said It took 2 hours of work but did 15 hours of doing your own personal agenda.

These kind of flashes make the one who's dead roll over in his/her grave.

IF you did 17 hours of work nonstop that would have been amazing because I can't even stay up that long in one day. However this could have been made so easily. You probably took sprites from a previous flash and stuck them there while making the background (which by the way I can't read what it says, if anything). After that was done you went to the pencil tool, colored it green, and wrote really horribly at the bottom of the screen "turnip ^_^" You added music in about 10-15 seconds.

Here's the rundown.
Sprites - 20 seconds to insert in.
Background - one hour (at most)
Writing of "Turnip" 5 seconds
Music addition 20 seconds

Therefore this movie couldn't have possibly taken you more than an hour and 45 seconds to make. If it truly took you 17 hours for all of this, then the next time you make a flash you shouldn't tell everyone that it took so long if you really didn't put the time into it.

IF it was that the thought counted in a situation like this, 17 hours of thought is great.

The best points about this: This shows me that you can draw. Awesome. I like flash artists that can draw. However, you shouldn't be so lazy next time!

Lotus responds:

It took that long on and off.

The "sprites" were drawn during the process of making the flash, not beforehand.

The background says "Socom".

The bottom was drawn quickly since it was last second before I had to go and I wanted to finish.

The thought was what counted though, it was for a lost friend, not for shits and giggles.

I know it was a lazy flash but at the same time I didn't have forever to make it and it was a one day thing. If I had longer then it would've been better but I didn't.

Keep a look out for the next one! It will be awesome!

Awww man..I know how it feels.

Someone I know died recently too,a great friend..I know how it feels.Sorry about turnips death...

Lotus responds:

Thanks for all the support bro. Sorry to hear about your friend as well.

Just remeber though, when you're feeling down and alone, theres always others out there to help that know exactly how you feel.

...

If this person really ment so much to you... you should put more effort into making a proper flash to dedicate... My advice... add more then one image...

Lotus responds:
