Nice idea, but needs improvement

Well, I have to say that this is a great idea and you implemented the idea in a good way. A few good things are that you gave the user quite alot of good pictures and backgrounds, although they were quite low quality, so you'll have to work on that. Most of the fonts don't work, you'll have to include the certain glyphs for each font (google it). Also try and make it a bit clearer that you click on the text to change it since it wasn't really that clear and I got muddled up in the begining. Anyway, good luck in your next version.

Cool sigs nice start.

Well yeah this great easy and simple was to make a nice Sig. While as there is a couple of faultiness inside it is still great.
Pros:
- Fun easy and simple
- Most finishing touches look great.
- great music

Cons:
- most fonts don't work
- Sometime the buttons don't work
- Some labels are hard to read due to the background color

Work on for 2:
- Try and make it possible to allow us to download the sig so we wont have to jump through hoops to upload it
- Allow for more affects with the fonts
- The ability to upload a picture and crop it to our needs

Good start, some notes on style

Noted problems that I had with this...
1) The fonts on the controls started to fade into the background. The control label for the borders wasn't readable.
2) As a personal opinion, I like menus where I scroll through options to loop back instead of me having to click back to the first item through all the others.
3) Options for font and image placement would have been nice, not everyone may want the image on the right and the font on the bottom left.

Apart from those bits I think this is a really good start towards creating a tool that people might actually like using. A good sig generator could be useful on more than just NG's forums.

the menu isn't very readable, like the words Font and Border. and you need to embed your fonts into the flash (Uppercase, Lowercase, Numerals, and Punctuation). it converts them to glyphs and saves them, so the person using your flash doesn't need to have the same exact fonts as you, cuz if they don't, they just show up as times new roman. also could use some higher quality raster images, a lot of them get pixelated when they're blown up to larger sizes. may want to change their properties to set them up for smoothing also, if you haven't already.

that page will show you how to let people save out the image they create. the print screen thing works fine, but this is just one more touch that could make it better.

other than those suggestions, it looks good. could use some more images to pick from, but not too many, I'd say 50 tops, and maybe like 25-30 backgrounds. changing the color of your text would help also, and since it's aimed at the design impaired, or at least program impaired, maybe picking out 3-5 colors for the text that would work well with the current choice of background. just some ideas for you to mull over
