I loved the background. Very epilepsy-esque, but not trippy at the same time. Maybe add an alpha that changes colour on the top of the background.

Your descriptions really set you up for something cool, but your execution is nothing short of disastrous. You know how to make 'em, now try executing a story of some sort.
