Your transitions with scenes, and sounds were jerky and out of place- but damn, You worked with SOUND...which is a pain in the arse to get correct anyways. Good for a first submission. Well done.

I had to make a 60 second flash animation for class this semester at the same time as I was learning flash, and this is the result! Its very inelegant and poorly animated, but eh. The idea came when watching home movies, of a wizard stalking the coastline shooting fireballs at beached whales, and from there it expanded into a war between men and whales, with whales beaching themselves as a form of attack then slipping back into the sea. A scene I wish was included was men swinging swords wildly at empty water in a war raged frenzy. Maybe for the live action version. All sfx were done by me with windows sound recorder, voices were me and my friends, all art assets and animations were done by my hand also(with the exception of the preloader). enjoy
Bizarre, but intriguing.
Well, it made me want to learn more about why humans and whales were fighting. That counts as a success, I think. The animation was actually pretty good, I mean, it didn't look like a "first Flash ever", though it wasn't completely smooth either. Particularly, some parts went by too slowly and some parts just kinda zipped by too fast. I think the best animated part was when the whale "slithers" backward after squashing the guy. It's obvious you've got some talent, so keep working at it and I'll expect great things from you in the future! ;)

The clipping on the sound effects was distracting. Distortion on PC microphones is cool when intentional, but I don't think it was here. I get the feeling the sound wasn't exactly the point here, though.

The only thing I saw wrong with this was the transitions. If they were improved and maybe a little more story added then I believe this would have been a great entry.
