this is a piece of course work I made in a couple of days. I know its not great, but I've had to keep to a strict brief.

update- sound quality is slightly better. also added a level counter and little flashing stars in the back ground

^^Good Points^^
A nice new rendition of asteroids with quite a few new innovations. I like controlling the ship with the mouse instead of arrow keys, and the fast paced game play is much more interesting.
^^Needs Improving^^
The main thing I don't like about this is how I got quite a few cheap deaths. The game started me out with an asteroid on top of me, causing me to lose about three lives right off the bat, and this also happened sometimes when new levels stopped.

not bad one
it was an alright asteroid game... though this one here was very easy to win. this one needed a bit of a bigger challenge to it i think... but your efforts were nice.
really? i don't think i've won it at all. guess i just suck at my own game :P
Needs some work
Not bad for an asteroids game, but it kind of needs some work. Try making it so your ship doesn't explode until you actually touch an asteroid, because even if you're somewhat close to it, you die. ;/ Good try, but it could use a little work.
yeah im not really sure y the ship explodes so far away, think its got summik to do with the spin of the asteroid. thanks
A few improvements
I liked the game in general, and the mouse interface in particular, but a few suggestions for improvements:
-Like the previous reviewer said, powerups and variety in the targets would be great
-New sounds
-A brief grace period after a respawn so you don't spawn immediately into an asteroid after a death
Other than that, a great start.
power ups is something I deff intend to add. along with the crappy level change. thanks for the review
Good Job
I'm a huge Astroids fan, so I'm being a little l lenient, but this could use some improvement. I really like the idea of the spaceship following the mouse and firing with the left click, that made the whole world easier. It could be a little more interesting though, like more enemies and power-ups and so on. Not that those are affecting your current score, but they would be nice. Also, the sound is SO annoying. It's a cool beat but there is just way too much drum in there. And static.
This is a pretty decent flash, I enjoyed it for about 5-10 minutes. Keep up the good work, I'll be looking forward to your next works.
