3rd World Farmer is a really good strategy game with a political background.

The game was designed by the 3rd World Farmer Team http://www.3rdworldfarmer .com/About.html.

Neodelight.com liked the game and its cause and sponsored the game. If you want to do something good for mankind the 3rdworldfarmer website is a good place to start: http://www.3rdworldfarmer .com/links.html

I was sending back lots of emails with the 3rdworldfarmer guys and newgrounds to get the highscore to work but we did not succeed. If you want to post your highscores please play on www.neodelight.com/3rdwor ldfarmer
(Don't forget to click "full screen" on neodelight).

Nice. East Africa distilled into this game.

I had a pretty good game, I earned 5undefined but my undefined got undefined TWICE and now the two undefined are costing me NaN

it's me or the game broke down, it says undefined in everything

You might try the newer version on https://3rdworldfarmer.org ;-)

Ended the game with 90k, that's enough to buy a home where I live. So I think I won.

Played this game for years since it original upload. The quality was top notch.
Had a bug that people had mentioned a thousand times - certain plant tile and building tile are interconnected somehow and when you place something in one, content you place into another one would be invisible. Thankfully UI shows this too by highlighting empty tiles.
Had a small balancing problem - too cheap and OP crop insurance. Once you got it, the game was a peace walk. I guess the price was missing 0 in the end thus making it 1250.
Second cheat measure was the donkey with a plough. It counted neither as tool, nor as animal and obviously not as vehicle so nobody short of random damage from Civil War event could steal it away:D

The game was deep, had a proper difficulty curve, was challenging. It properly delivered it's message. Both of them in fact as the life of community as a whole was improved by hard work of it's members, their investment in health, proper education and so on, including active political position and support of their own representative.

I liked it, enjoyed playing it and always wanted to see a sequel. That would have overlapping events that could go on for many turns in a row for example.

Why WAS?
As of today, 3rd January 2018, it stopped loading properly and working. The end of an era. RIP One of the few REALLY worthy games that ever been posted here:'(
