So far so good.

Ignore the scores I gave you, they're so low because this is only a test game, they are honest but you just need to finnish it.

I'm not sure what you plan to add on to this so I'll just tell you what it didn't have that it needs, just incase you didn't think of something.

The first and most obvious would be enemies to attack, but I'm sure you were going to add those :P

Sound effects.

Additional levels.

The ability to run and use your weapons at the same time.

The ability to run up and down sloped platforms without having to jump.

That's all I can think of for right now.

You didn't tell us that the 'A' key makes you slow down to a walking pace. If that's a feature that you intend on keeping (which isn't necessary) then perhaps you could animate your character appropriately by making his legs move slower like he's actually walking.

Anyway, I hope I was able to help somehow, your game looks good so far, hope to see the full version soon :)

I know this was just a demo but you could of at least put in sound and a couple of enemies to test attacks on! But, it has great potential IF you make it a full game.
