Charas Breakout DX

Update January 19th 2007:
I've fixed the high-score and made some other small fixes.

To everybody, merry Christmas, or a happy Christmas Eve to some. This is the first big project I was working on, it has been going on for about three years. It started in 2003 or so, when I finished the first version, I believe.

The game is rather simple. The story really doesn't matter. The game is a sort of breakout game, with gravity. You won't die immediately, because there aren't any lives you start with. Just make sure you at least get 50% before time runs out. If you clear every blocks fast enough, you can earn yourself a time bonus, but too slow, or barely reaching 50% will result in a time penalty. Finally, each 5 levels you will encounter an end boss.

Anyway, if you get the feeling this is one big promotional game for the Charas-Project website, IT IS ALL A LIE! Nah, kidding. It actually is. If you have some money left, please donate to Charas.

This game has been beta-tested, so I tried to keep bugs at a minimum. However, should you encounter a serious bug, please contact me on my e-mail, with the subject "Charas Breakout DX: " and the subject. I will use an automated filter to put all remarks and comments in one folder, so please use this as subject.

Anyway, enjoy.

Awesome!

Hell yeah, as a member of Charas-Project, I have to say, this game rocks! Challenging and fun!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudee

Man does this bring back memorys, I remember playing like, one of the first versions. Go charas, and such, but you shall fall at the might of StarScape, Muahaha, or not. >_>
We'll get yah before bandwich does.

Very good, but could be tweaked a little

Because the helmet moves fairly fast and the play area is a little small, your character's sliding movement and small size make the controls and gameplay a little awkward. Adjusting any of those things would improve it immensely. All around fairly solid though, nice job.

GaryCXJk responds:

What's to tweak / adjust if these elements are put in for a reason? If the people would really move as fast as you want or are as big as you want it would sure as hell be boring.

Also, I haven't seen anyone having trouble playing the game in the current state. I believe the 'small' sizes add that little extra.

Hmm...okie i think

well there is not much room to move around..though it will get us movie the keys. overall it is a'ght.

Fun Game :)

this was a good time killer, hope to see more from u in the future :)
happy holidays
