A fresh take
first, let me say that i liked the video. the concept of using roguh sketches to tell the story is a good one, and some of the style was reminiscent of the gorillaz artwork. the video also had a degree of playful melancholy very typical of the gorillaz, so all in all not a bad tribute i would say. also for your benefit and for the benefit of other gorillaz fans, the band actually does have something of a music video for this song. It's presented in much the same way, with the screen flashing and panning across still images. you should be able to find a video of it on youtube. just put in fire coming out of a monkey's head in the search.
again, well done. you make me proud to be a gorillaz fan.
