Cool,

It was a neat idea, but I can't see there being much of a market so to speak for this kind of thing. When the Etch a sketch was made, it was made to make car trips less boring, and to keep kids entertained (distracted) for a little while. This, although fairly well done, especially for your first flash, doesn't have the same feel or entertainment value as the real thing. It just seems to be lacking something that the original had, perhaps the controls are just too simple on this one, or there isnt any pressure if you screw up. I dono, good idea, but it probably won't pass with flying colors, but don't worry about it, you can't expect your first try to be great, so get back up and dust yourself off, and start making more!

I don't know why this doesn't have a higher score. Sure, it's not the most exciting game, but it's a very nice emulator to the original etch-a-sketch. The one thing I can suggest is to maybe add a shaking sound when you clear screen, that would add to the authenticity. But other than that, good job!

Not bad.... I guess

The program was done very well, actionscript was well written and there were some nice touches. The menu was a good feature and worked superbly. However, the "game" is very limited and boring. I realize you were trying to model an Etch-A-Sketch, but you have to keep in mind that it was made for younger children and not the most exciting thing around. You've got some good skills, but they're wasted on this idea, IMHO.

Boring

It was constructed well, good actionscript and how it got a little bit faster after a couple seconds. The looks and the outlining red frame was good... but do you really see how pointless and boring this is? It gave me a headache after 3 seconds.
