Cool squirrel.

This forever changed my life in the early 2000s. I was in grade school and my neighborhood friend showed me some random video with a talking squirrel. It was funny until I realized I would get grounded worse than Caillou if my parents found out I had seen a video with such crude images.
And now, a decade or two later, I’m still thinking about that catchy song that would’ve gotten me in so much trouble. What a realization—music, and general exposure to seemingly small ideas, really does have a lasting impression on a young mind.
Maybe that’s why we’re all so messed up.
