(size: 82kb.) Having never before used Flash, Deepspace was conceived & created in approx. 250 hours of 12-18 hrs/day self-study. Attention: Project functionality is severely limited as outside swf files and libraries required for menus, control interfaces and database can not be included on this site. Mouse-Drag Navigation. Do not click on objects. I will not respond to functionality complaints.

the really deep space

I loved it homie!!!!! plz make more it looked like you really worked on it

thomcomstock responds:

Thank you. I am, for the most part, pretty tired of flash. Besides theoretical physics is much more interesting, challenging and useful. Maybe I'll come back to it in ten years or so when it's matured.

Great! For about ten seconds

I don't get it. I click on the stars to get moving. I move the mouse to change where I go. But after ten seconds, the screen turns to black nothingness. Is that all?

thomcomstock responds:

You apparently did not read the Description that fully explained the reason for lack of functionality here at Newgrounds. As well: It is not for play. The full program, which contains a menuing system as well as a database of 300 star-class objects, 50 Nebulae and 37 fully-interactive astrophysical demonstrations in exterior library files has been used by both JPL and NASA for two years to familiarize visitors with basic astrophysical phenomena and processes including, but not limited to; the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram of Main-Sequence Stars, Geometrodynamic principals of black holes and neutron stars and basic carbon-nitogen and proton-proton stellar nuclear cycles. You may count yourself as one of the 99% of the flash amateurs here that didn't appreciate the advanced actionscripting that is in evidence.

Great!

It looks very good and I'd sure like to see the full version. Any idea when we'll see it on newgrounds or on another site?

thomcomstock responds:

Thank you. Actually, you will have to go to Kennedy Space Center, JPL or Ames Research Center to see the full version as I have leased the rights for the full version to them.

VERY NICE!!!!

hehe, I like the pulsar.... It really looks nice...
just too bad you can't click anything... but Anyway
GOOD JOB!!!!!

thomcomstock responds:

Thank you very much. I wish that I could load the full version here, but... You may count yourself as one of the 1% of the flash people here that appreciated the advanced actionscripting in evidence.

Wow

Very nice indeed for a simple idea, although after clicking a couple of stars my window just went black, any idea why?

thomcomstock responds:

Again, thank you.
