The Dying Neuron

Author Comments

This flash is about a theory of dreams; that they are involved in synaptic pruning and erradicating the days meaningless information. I was thinking about this before going to bed and had this dream about a neuron dying during a dream - so I animated it. This is an experimental style, if your after a cartoon this is not it. Otherwise enjoy!

Aesthetically Pleasing

This flash doesn't really make sense, but that's part of what makes it good. It's about dreams and dreams never really do make a whole lot of sense.
Some of the scenes were extremely pleasing to the eye, while others nearly made them hurt, and the sound effects became a little annoying but its good to see something new. This was a good one. 4/5

cool one

not exactly my type of animation, but i must say, it was very interesting to say the least.

...

It kind of reminds me of when I did 13a. You've got a good idea but you don't yet have the experience in flash to forfill the ideas full potential.
It's still worlds a head of most of the crap on this site. Keep on going with flash. I'm sure you'll come out with something truly great!

Having seen.

After spending a while at film school before changing majors I have witnessed any number of "pretentious student films" but honestly this was quite well done. The music selection fit the mood and pace of the peice and the animation style/imagery was impressive to say the least. Well played.

Magnificent and unique.

I was spellbound by this.

Do you realise, Amand, how good this piece is?

It seems inadequate to say that this is going to first place on my favourites.

You captured that dreamlike quality superbly, I felt quite entranced, and still do.

Take is as a compliment (and I mean this) that I am temporarily floored by this Flash to be able to review it properly. Five out of five - oh most definitely five. Fifty if I could. Wow.

The ten for interactivity is for the interaction between the viewers mind and the imagery, that may sound pretentious but it's true.

Still stunned, and signing off...this HAS to be protected.
