Very cool, very Firth-esque.

I thought it was cool. I instantly recognized the style as very similar to David Firth's, and I actually think it's cool that people are adapting that style into their own flashes.
Now people can go on about copying ideas and artistic integrity, but I really don't think any of that stuff is important. How can you really say that if you've ever done anything like download music, you'd just be a hypocrite. If you've ever heard of Adorno, you know his theory that every form of artistic expression must be derived from other people to an extent. Adorno views this as something negative, but I believe that ideas, whether artistic or mathematical or what-have-you are meant to be 'stolen'. It's a basic fact of human culture. Artists who develop their own styles and methods should not be able to say that they own it. This is an old western-world idea that's pretty barbaric in a way. Artistic expression is meant to leave an impact on others. The only real way an artist can protect his/her own style is to just not show it to anyone, which defeats the purpose of art.
Hmm, I bet there's going to be some debate on this. Maybe I'll make a post on the BBS.

David Firth copy much?

I can understand the music, as Firth didn't write it. But the background for the narrative was definitely just copied from Firth. Really, if you're trying to be creepy, it's not working. If you're trying to make me feel sad, it's not working. By the end of the flash, I didn't care that the boy died. I was pretty apathetic to his fate. If you made the flash a bit more exposing of the boy and tried to get me to empathize with him, maybe it would've been better.

Actually David Firth did write the music(Locust Toybox). So you can add that to your list of hatred toward my animation. I'd love to see something from you...

What kind of person makes these things?!

I don't get it?! How can you make these things? Do you enjoy this kind of sad, gothic, twisted world you create?! This is messed up!!!! How can you make this?! how can you do this without feeling weird inside?! Are you gothic?! Are you depressed?! WTF possesed you to make such a horrible story!

nice flash, but...

It lacked originality.

Basically, it was a David Firth fan animation. For example, the clothes on the main character reminded me of Spoilsbury Toast Boy (and, come to think of it, the insect part reminded me of Spoilsbury Toast Boy too), and the style of the animation was done just like Scribbler. I know you're a fan, because the music was from Locust Toybox.

Without originality, you have nothing. Taking concepts and adding too them is like originality at a base level. Nice animation, but sorry, i have to give you an 0.

weird, but good

The soundtrack matched the movie plot perfectly, bravo!
I liked it. I thought it was going to be all sad and something was going to happen, which it was and did, but I did not see that ending coming! That was funny. Nice job, especially for a second flash.

I look foreward to your next submission
