WOW
I never thought it would be physically possible for my brain to implode into itself
This cartoon started out as a phone doodle, a quick one-panel gag.. that seemed like the perfect subject for my first flash cartoon.
The project took about a day and a half to go from recording sounds, to uploading to newgrounds... that still seems pretty speedy.
Anyways, I learned a ton about flash while making this thing, and I'm sure I'll eventually discover all the mistakes I made. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy!

God, I hate when that happens.
not bad
pretty random overall and a bit short, but the drawings were cool.
Random, Short, and Cool... much like your review. Thanks.
that was good
I like the wavy style animation and for this flash i dont think there was any other kind to use. The only problem is that the sound was a bit bad as it was hard to hear at times
Thanks for your comment. As to the sound, Yeah.. I know. I really didn't have any sound editing ability when I made this, had to use the default "windows sound recorder". Next time.. if I ever come up with something worth cartooning... I'll do a better job on the audio.
Haha, not enough star trek parodies out there :p
This was actually pretty good. If this was your first flash and you did it in about a day and change, that's not bad. It took me about the same ammount of time for my first few flashes too :)
I like how the when the monster showed up, the nameless red shirt calls for the captain, and just like in TOS, gets iced. Hehe, the nameless red shirt ensign... gets me every time! :p
Good job!
Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you liked it.
The ensign utters, what I have determined to be the panultimate "last words" for a Star Trek red-shirt... namely, "Captain, come quickly. I've found something."
The animation actually went fairly quickly.. it was the tedious bits, the blood spatters, and the shadow.. that's what took the most work. Heck, even the lipsyncing was fairly simple and quick. I was surprised by that.
Building objects with jitter cycles really helps the process, and covers a world of sins.
ha ha, pretty good!
it's pretty funny, i especcialy liked it when the monster hacks up a boot.
that, and the monster sounds were pretty good, too!
overall: EXCELLENT
I'm glad you liked it. The monster sounds were by far, the easiest part to do, and probably the most fun. The coughed up boot was actually a last minute addition in the sound recording stage. I was trying to make the monster spit it out, but nothing I could do could make a convincing monster-spitting noise, so I coughed instead.
