Well notbad for a film here and notbad at all on some sprite elements seems it could use even more effects and lighting effects in the action scene

I'll rate this against good animations as sympathy isn't needed for starting animations imo.

If you can, find sprite explosions so the art style matches.
You also fell into the trap of "singular fights" where you animate one object at a time. Realistically, a lot happens at once, so be sure to make things correlate as needed. I doubt the robots would stand there waiting to get shot. ^ ^

Again, this IS your first animation. It's an excellent start, and I do hope you keep animating.

What you have here is a nice submission, just a bit dull. It has nice and simple graphics, smooth animation and a good idea all around, but certain things hurt it's overall look. For one, the constant camera angle and senseless fighting really don't make this submission any better. Other then that though, not bad.

A good sprite movie! The explosions especially, heh. Congrats on the first too. Would be nice with better scenery though and shifting animation angles, but otherwise it's all good. Keep it up!

I liked the way you drew out explosions. The explosions looked pretty good compared to what I've seen.

Your animations are lacking. There isn't much animation of the actual sprites and the constant camera angle is kind of boring. There also isn't much of a storyline, just random fighting.
